How to Customize Your Album

Make your event album uniquely yours by customizing its appearance, privacy settings, and guest interactions. Match your album to your event's style and control exactly how guests experience your photos.

Accessing Album Customization

1. Go to Photos in the sidebar
2. Click "Album" in the Actions section
3. Click "Customize Public Album"

The customization panel has three sections: Color Palette, Privacy & Engagement Settings, and Messages & Branding.

Color Palette

Choose from 12 pre-designed color themes to match your event style:

• Futuristic Dark - Modern cyan and purple tones
• Classic Elegance - Sophisticated dark and copper
• Warm Sunset - Rich reds and oranges
• Minimal Clean - Clean black, gray, and blue
• Vibrant Energy - Bold pink, purple, and green
• Beach - Soft teals and sandy tones
• Aqua - Deep ocean blues
• Petal - Soft pinks and rose
• Crocodile - Natural greens and gold
• Blooming - Fresh greens and pink
• Ocean Night - Deep teal with coral accents
• Lime - Fresh lime greens with dark contrast

Click on a palette to select it. Your choice applies to both the public album and upload screens.

Privacy & Engagement Settings

Control how guests interact with your album:

Allow Photo Downloads

Enable visitors to download photos from your album. Turn this off if you want photos to be view-only.

Allow Emoji Reactions

Let guests react to photos with emojis (❤️ 😂 😮 👍 🔥 👏). A fun way to see which photos resonate with your guests.

Allow Comments

Enable guests to leave comments on photos. You can moderate and delete comments as needed directly from the comments section.

Require Password for Public Album

Protect your public album with a password. Visitors will need to enter the password before viewing any photos. Great for private events where you want to control who sees the gallery.

Require Password for Upload

Require guests to enter a password before uploading photos to your event via the QR code. Useful if you want to limit who can contribute photos.

Messages & Branding

Custom Upload Success Message

Customize the message shown after guests successfully upload photos. Add a personal touch with a thank you message, event hashtag, or any text up to 500 characters.

Examples:

• "Thank you for sharing! 📸"
• "Thanks for being part of our special day! #SmithWedding2025"
• "Your photos have been added to the gallery!"

Saving Your Changes

After making your customizations, click "Save Changes" to apply them. Your updates will be immediately visible to anyone viewing your public album or upload page.

Click "Cancel" to discard changes and keep your previous settings.

Q: Can I change the color theme after guests have already uploaded photos? A: Yes! You can change your album's appearance anytime. Existing photos won't be affected.

Q: If I enable password protection, do existing link holders get locked out? A: Yes, anyone trying to access the album will need to enter the password, even if they had the link before.

Q: Can I use different passwords for viewing and uploading? A: Yes, the public album password and upload password are separate. You can set different passwords for each, or only require a password for one.

Q: Do emoji reactions and comments require guests to sign up? A: No, guests can react and comment without creating an account.

Q: Can I delete inappropriate comments? A: Yes, you can moderate and delete comments directly from the comments section in your album.

Q: Will the custom upload message show for all guests? A: Yes, every guest who uploads photos will see your custom success message after their upload completes.
