How to Customize Song Request Form Fields

The song request form can be customized to collect the information most relevant to your event. Add optional fields or custom questions to make the form work for your specific needs.

Default Form Fields

By default, the song request form includes:

Song Title	Yes	The name of the requested song
Artist	Yes	The artist or band name
Your Name	Optional	Who is making the request

The Song Title and Artist fields are always required to ensure the DJ has enough information to find the song.

Optional Built-in Fields

You can show or hide these optional fields:

Requested By (Your Name)

Shows a "Your Name" field so guests can identify themselves. This helps the DJ:

Give shoutouts when playing requests
Prioritize requests from special guests
Add a personal touch to the music experience

Message Field

Add an optional message field where guests can include notes like:

Set a waiting period (in minutes) between submissions from the same device
After submitting a request, guests see a countdown showing when they can submit again
Cooldown is enforced server-side so it can't be bypassed

Configuring Cooldown

Go to Event → DJ Dashboard → Form Settings
Find the Request Cooldown setting
Enter the number of minutes (e.g., 5 for a 5-minute cooldown)
Set to 0 to disable cooldown (unlimited requests)

Recommended Settings

Casual party: 2-3 minutes (more frequent requests)
Wedding reception: 5-10 minutes (balanced)
Corporate event: 10-15 minutes (fewer, more considered requests)
