How to Get Your Event QR Code

Every Fotify event comes with a unique QR code that guests can scan to instantly upload photos to your event gallery. No app download required - guests simply scan, snap, and share.

Accessing Your QR Code

  1. From your event dashboard, click "Photos" in the sidebar
  2. In the Actions section, click "QR Code"
  3. The Share Upload Link modal will open with your QR code

Your QR code allows guests to:

  • Upload photos directly to your event album
  • Contribute to the live photo carousel
  • Share their moments instantly during the event

Ways to Share Your QR Code

Copy the Direct Link

Click "Copy link" to copy the upload URL to your clipboard. Perfect for sharing via text message, email, or social media.

Open the Link

Click "Open link" to preview the upload page yourself and see exactly what your guests will experience.

Share via Device

Click "Share link" to use your device's native sharing options (AirDrop, messaging apps, etc.).

Print the QR Code

Click "Print QR Code" to print a physical copy. Great for:

  • Table centerpieces at weddings
  • Welcome signs at the venue entrance
  • Photo booth stations
  • Event programs or menus

Tips for Displaying Your QR Code

  • Size matters: Print your QR code large enough to scan from a comfortable distance (at least 4x4 inches)
  • Good lighting: Place printed codes in well-lit areas
  • Multiple locations: Set up QR codes at different spots - entrance, tables, photo areas
  • Add instructions: Include a brief message like "Scan to share your photos!"

Show a personalized thank-you message after guests upload their photos. Go to Photos → Album → Customize Public Album and scroll to the Messages & Branding section. Add your own message (up to 500 characters) like "Thanks for sharing!" or "Thank you for being part of our day!"

Require Password for Upload

If you want to limit who can upload photos, you can require a password. Enable this in the album customization settings under Privacy & Engagement Settings.
