How to Customize Your Album

Q: Can I go back to the plain album after trying a preset?

Yes. Turn off **Show an intro above the photos** and the album opens on the toolbar title again, as it does by default. The palette, style and guest switches stay as the preset set them until you change them.

Q: Where did the custom upload success message go?

It's on the **Upload page** tab of Page Design, under **Custom Success Message**, together with the other texts guests see while uploading.

Make your event album uniquely yours: start from a preset, add an intro header with a photo and a few words, pick a style and colors, and decide what guests can do. A memorial, a wedding and a company event each get an album that feels like the occasion, in a few clicks.

Accessing Album Customization

Go to Photos in the sidebar
Click "Page Design" in the Actions section (under Collect photos), or "Customize album" in the Public album card
Open the Public album tab

The tab has seven sections: Start from a preset, Intro header, Style, Color Palette, Album Description, What guests can do, and Album password. A live preview next to them shows the album in the chosen style and colors, and Open album opens the real one. Changes save automatically.

Start from a Preset

A preset sets the style, the colors, the intro header and the guest options in one click, so an album is ready to share in a minute. Everything stays editable afterwards.

Wedding - Your photo as a wide cover with the title over it, a thank-you line, the Editorial style and the Petal palette
Birthday - The guest of honor in a round frame, the Bold style and the Vibrant palette, with reactions and comments on
Corporate - The event banner as a cover, the Minimal palette and the Modern style, with downloads on and comments and reactions off
Memorial - A tribute page: the portrait in a round frame, a dedication line ("In loving memory"), a soft serif style and the Memory palette. Guests can download, share and leave written memories on photos; emoji reactions and the photo counter are off, the event date is hidden, and the button reads "Share a memory"

A preset fills in the album description only when you haven't written one, and never changes your passwords.

Intro Header

The intro header is the block guests see above the photos: the event photo, a title, a subtitle, your album description and a button that takes them to the upload page.

Show an intro above the photos turns it on. Off, the album opens straight on the photos with the event name in the toolbar, as before
Layout - Portrait centers the photo in a round frame (a person, a couple); Cover spreads it wide with the title over it (a venue, a banner)
Title - Leave it empty to use the event name
Subtitle - A line under the title: dates for a tribute page, a line of welcome for a party
Show a photo - Upload a photo just for the intro (JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB); it is separate from the event photo on your upload page. Drag the photo inside the round or wide frame to choose what it shows and zoom in with the slider; the framing is kept when you switch layout
Show the event date - The date under the title. Turn it off for a tribute page
Button to add photos - Shown while the event is live, with the wording you choose (for example "Share a memory")

Style

The style decides how the album is drawn: the fonts of the title and the frame around each photo. It works with any color palette, so you can pick the two separately:

Modern - Clean type and rounded photo cards (the default)
Editorial - A magazine serif title and photos with square corners, set close together
Polaroid - A handwritten title and photos in white instant-print frames, leaning a little like prints on a table. In the large grid, each print is signed with the guest's name
Film - A bold uppercase title and photos on strips of film
Soft - An airy serif title and photos with generous rounded corners
Bold - A chunky title and photos with thick outlines and hard shadows

Each style card is drawn in the palette you have selected, and the live preview switches as soon as you click one.

Color Palette

Choose from 13 pre-designed color themes to match your event style:

Futuristic Dark - Modern cyan and purple tones
Classic Elegance - Sophisticated dark and copper
Warm Sunset - Rich reds and oranges
Minimal Clean - Clean black, gray, and blue
Vibrant Energy - Bold pink, purple, and green
Beach - Soft teals and sandy tones
Aqua - Deep ocean blues
Petal - Soft pinks and rose
Crocodile - Natural greens and gold
Blooming - Fresh greens and pink
Ocean Night - Deep teal with coral accents
Lime - Fresh lime greens with dark contrast
Memory - Soft golden yellows with navy

Click on a palette to select it. The live preview next to the settings switches to it right away.

What Guests Can Do

Turn off anything you don't want guests to do in the album. Show the photo count hides the number of photos from the header, which suits a tribute page.

Allow Photo Downloads

Enable visitors to download photos from your album. Turn this off if you want photos to be view-only — the photo selection tools (the check button on each photo and the "download selected as ZIP" banner) are hidden too, since selecting photos is only useful for downloading them.

Allow Photo Sharing

Let visitors share the album and individual photos. Turn this off to hide the share buttons in the album header, on photo cards, and in the full photo view.

Allow Emoji Reactions

Let guests react to photos with emojis (❤️ 😂 😮 👍 🔥 👏). A fun way to see which photos resonate with your guests.

Allow Comments

Enable guests to leave comments on photos. You can moderate and delete comments as needed directly from the comments section.

Album Password

Protect your public album with a password. Visitors will need to enter the password before viewing any photos. Great for private events where you want to control who sees the gallery. Turn on Require Password for Public Album, type the password, and it saves as soon as you leave the field. See How to Password Protect Your Album.

The password guests need to upload photos is a separate setting. It lives on the Upload page tab of Page Design, next to the rest of the upload page settings.

Find My Photos (Face Search)

With Face Search on, the album shows guests a Find my photos banner: they take a selfie and see only the photos they appear in. It isn't an album setting: switch it on from the Face Search card on the event's control panel. It's included from the Professional plan up and can be added to other paid plans.

Album Description

Add a short description (up to 500 characters) that appears under the album title, in the header guests see first. Use it to welcome guests, share the event hashtag, or say a few words about the day.

The thank-you message guests see after uploading belongs to the upload page: set it on the Upload page tab, under Custom Success Message. See How to Customize Your Upload Page Design.

Saving Your Changes

There's no Save button: every change saves on its own a moment after you make it. The bar at the top of the tab says All changes saved once your changes are live for anyone opening the album. If a save fails, it says so and offers Try again.

Use Open album to see the real album in a new tab (it's available once your public album link is on).

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I change the color theme after guests have already uploaded photos? A: Yes! You can change your album's appearance anytime. Existing photos won't be affected.

Q: If I enable password protection, do existing link holders get locked out? A: Yes, anyone trying to access the album will need to enter the password, even if they had the link before.

Q: Can I use different passwords for viewing and uploading? A: Yes, the public album password and upload password are separate. You can set different passwords for each, or only require a password for one.

Q: What happens to photo selection if I turn downloads off? A: The check button on each photo and the selected-photos banner disappear. Selection only exists to build a ZIP download, so guests are never asked to select photos they can't download.

Q: Does turning off sharing stop people who already have the album link? A: No. It only hides the share buttons inside the album. Anyone who already has the link can still open it — use password protection if you need to restrict access.

Q: Do emoji reactions and comments require guests to sign up? A: No, guests can react and comment without creating an account.

Q: Can I delete inappropriate comments? A: Yes, you can moderate and delete comments directly from the comments section in your album.
