How to Create Your RSVP Digital Invitation
Fotify's digital RSVP system lets you create beautiful invitations and track guest responses all in one place. No more paper invitations or manual tracking - guests can respond instantly from any device.
This guide walks you through creating your first RSVP invitation.
Before You Start
You'll need:
- An existing Fotify event (see How to Create Your First Event if you haven't created one yet)
- Your event date and time
- Your event location/venue
- A deadline for when you need responses
Step 1: Access the RSVP Section
- Go to your event dashboard at dashboard.fotify.app
- Select your event from the list
- Click "RSVP" in the left sidebar
If you haven't set up RSVP yet, you'll see a message: "RSVP Not Set Up" with instructions to create your invitation.
Step 2: Set Your Event Date
The event date is required to create your invitation. Fill in:
- Day - Select the day of the month
- Month - Select the month
- Year - Select the year
- Event Time - Set when your event starts
This date and time will be prominently displayed on your digital invitation so guests know exactly when to arrive.
Step 3: Set Your Event Location
Enter where your event will take place. This could be:
- A venue name (e.g., "The Grand Ballroom")
- A full address (e.g., "123 Main Street, New York, NY")
- A landmark (e.g., "Central Park, New York")
The location appears on your digital invitation and helps guests know where to go. You can add more detailed directions later when customizing your invitation.
Step 4: Set Your RSVP Deadline
Choose the date by which guests must respond:
- Day - Select the deadline day
- Month - Select the deadline month
- Year - Select the deadline year
Tips for choosing a deadline:
- Set it at least 1-2 weeks before your event
- For weddings, 4-6 weeks before is common
- Give yourself enough time to finalize catering, seating, and other arrangements
After the deadline passes, guests can still view the invitation but won't be able to submit new responses.
Step 5: Create Your Invitation
Once you've filled in all the required fields:
- Review your event date, location, and RSVP deadline
- Click the "Create Invitation" button
- Your digital invitation is now ready!
After creation, you'll be taken to the RSVP dashboard.

Once your invitation is created, you'll see the RSVP dashboard with everything you need to manage responses:
