How the guest list is built

This is a difference in model rather than a missing feature. Partiful is link-first: the event link is the invitation, so anyone holding it can join. Require Guest Approval in Event Settings is how a host takes that control back — the RSVP becomes a request to get on the list, each guest sits as Pending until the host marks them Approved or removes them, Bulk actions → "Approve all pending guests" clears everyone waiting at once, and turning on the waitlist alongside it adds a Waitlist status that releases guests in RSVP order. It works on free events, not only ticketed ones.

Fotify starts from the other end: the organizer builds the guest list, invites named people, and the RSVP confirms who is coming. There is nothing to screen because nobody is added without being invited. The exception is public registration links — those are open to anyone with the code, and while they can be tagged and segmented by channel, they have no approval step.
