How to Batch-Manage and Reorder Photos

Instead of handling photos one at a time, you can select several at once to approve, delete, move, or download them together โ€” and you can drag photos into the exact order you want guests to see. This makes it much faster to tidy up a busy album after an event.

These tools live in your event album. Go to Photos in the sidebar and click Album to open it.

Selecting Multiple Photos

  1. In your album, find the Tools group in the options bar above the grid
  2. Click the Select button (checkbox icon) to turn on selection mode
  3. A checkbox appears on every photo โ€” click a photo to select or deselect it
  4. To select a range quickly, click the first photo, then Shift-click the last photo in the range

While selection mode is on, an action bar appears at the bottom of the screen showing how many photos are selected, along with a Select all / Deselect all shortcut.

To leave selection mode, click the โœ• on the action bar (or the Select button again).

Batch Actions

With one or more photos selected, use the action bar at the bottom to:

  • Approve โ€” Approves all selected photos at once. This option appears only in the Photos to Review tab.
  • Move โ€” Moves all selected photos into another album. Pick a destination album, or Main Album to remove them from any subalbum.
  • Download โ€” Packages the selected photos and videos into a single ZIP and downloads it to your device. Bulk download is included on every paid plan.
  • Delete โ€” Permanently removes the selected photos after a confirmation. Deleted photos cannot be recovered.

After an action finishes, the selection clears automatically.

Reordering Photos

By default, photos appear newest-first by upload time. You can override this and arrange them in any order you like โ€” and that order is also what guests see in your public album.

  1. Open the Approved Photos tab
  2. If your event uses multiple albums, first pick a specific album from the Album dropdown (you can't reorder the combined All Photos view)
  3. In the Tools group, click the Reorder button (list icon)
  4. A drag handle appears in the top-left corner of each photo and video
  5. Drag a photo or video by its handle to a new spot โ€” the new order is saved automatically

Click the Reorder button again to turn it off when you're done.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does my custom order show up for guests? A: Yes. The order you set with the Reorder tool is the order shown in your public shared album. Until you reorder anything, photos stay in newest-first order.

Q: Can I reorder videos? A: Yes. Photos and videos share the same custom order, so you can drag either one into place.

Q: Why don't I see the Reorder button? A: Reordering is only available in the Approved Photos tab. If your event has multiple albums, select a specific album first โ€” the combined "All Photos" view can't be reordered.

Q: How many photos can I select at once? A: There's no fixed limit. Use Select all to grab everything on the current page, then page through to act on more.

Q: Is batch download available on the free plan? A: No. Like the full Download All feature, batch download requires a paid plan.

Q: Are batch deletes reversible? A: No. Deleted photos are permanently removed. Download anything you want to keep before deleting.
