How to Password Protect Your Album
Add a password to your public album so only people with the password can view your photos. This is perfect for private events where you want to control who sees your memories.
Adding Password Protection
- Go to Photos and click Page Design (under Collect photos)
- Open the Public album tab
- Find "Require Password for Public Album"
- Toggle it on
- Enter your password. It saves as soon as you leave the field
Now anyone visiting your public album link will need to enter the password first.
The password protects your photos everywhere they are shown publicly: the album, the live screen, stories and the website embed each ask for it before showing anything. The photo wall on your invitation and the album preview on the upload page show no photos to guests who haven't entered it. The remote control link you share with your DJ or MC works without the password.
Password for Uploads
You can also require a password for guests to upload photos:
- Go to Photos → Page Design, on the Upload page tab
- Find "Upload password"
- Toggle it on and type your password
It saves on its own once you leave the field.
This limits who can contribute photos to your event. The password applies to every way guests upload from the upload page and the camera page: photos, videos, voice and text messages, drawings and upload form answers. Photo questions you add to your RSVP or registration form keep working without it.
