How to Use One Link for Uploading and Viewing Photos

A common question from organizers: "Can guests use the same link to upload their photos AND view everyone else's?" The answer is yes โ€” by enabling the Show photos on the upload screen setting, your upload page doubles as a gateway to the public album.

This means you only need to share one QR code or link, and guests can both contribute photos and browse the full event gallery.

How It Works

When you enable this feature, a live album preview appears on your upload page โ€” a strip of the most recent photos plus a "View all photos" link to the full gallery. It shows both on the main upload screen and on the success screen after a guest uploads a photo.

Guests see:

  1. The upload form where they can share their photos
  2. A live preview of recent photos with a link to open the full event album in a new tab
  3. After uploading, the same album preview on the thank-you screen

This keeps the experience simple: one link, two features.

Step 1: Enable Public Album Sharing

Before the album preview can appear, your public album must be active:

  1. Go to your Dashboard and select your event
  2. Click Photos in the sidebar
  3. In the Photo Statistics card, find the Public album section
  4. Toggle on Public album sharing

If you haven't set this up yet, see How to Share Your Event Album for full instructions.

Step 2: Enable Photos on the Upload Page

In the same Public album section, just below the sharing toggle:

  1. Toggle on "Show photos on the upload screen"

It saves instantly โ€” no separate save step. In fact, this is on by default as soon as public album sharing is enabled, so in most cases it's already done for you.

That's it! Your upload page now shows a live preview of recent photos with a "View all photos" link to the event gallery. (You can also toggle this from Photos โ†’ Upload Page Design.)

Step 3: Share Your Upload Link

Now you only need to share your upload page link (or QR code). Guests can:

  • Upload photos using the form
  • View the album by tapping the album button

You'll find your upload link and QR code under Photos in your event dashboard. Print the QR code, add it to table cards, or share the link via messaging apps โ€” either way, guests get the full experience from a single entry point.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need two QR codes โ€” one for uploading and one for the album? A: No. With the album link enabled on the upload page, one QR code is all you need. Guests can upload and view photos from the same page.

Q: What if I haven't enabled public album sharing? A: The album preview won't appear on the upload page until you turn on "Public album sharing" in the Public album section (Photos โ†’ Photo Statistics).

Q: Can guests view the album without uploading first? A: Yes. The album preview is visible as soon as the upload page loads โ€” guests don't need to upload anything before browsing the album.

Q: Does this work on mobile? A: Yes. The album preview is fully responsive and works on all devices.

Q: Can I customize how the album preview looks? A: The preview follows your upload page's design theme (colors, fonts, style), so it matches the rest of the page automatically.

Q: What if the album has no photos yet? A: The preview falls back to a simple "View all photos" link until there are photos to show, so guests always have a way through to the album.
