Studio Template — Design Your Invitation with AI

Studio is unlike every other template in the Fotify library: it doesn't come with a fixed look. Instead, you design it conversationally in the AI Studio tab of the invitation editor — describe the mood you want, and the assistant composes the cover, color palette, typography, section layouts, backgrounds and ornaments for you. Every Studio invitation is one of a kind.

What Makes Studio Different

Fixed templates (including premium ones like Atelier) ship one design language. Studio ships a design system instead:

• 8 cover compositions — split, full-bleed, editorial, banner card, minimal typographic, poster type, chapel-arch photo, and an overlapping text-card layout
• Cover finishing — photo treatments (soft, duotone, black & white, sepia, vivid, faded), crop shapes, idle and scroll-linked motion, and title styles from outlined and highlighted to gradient-filled
• Calligraphy accents — an optional third script font for your names, a monogram badge with your initials, and script-set cover titles
• Per-section layouts — your story can be a timeline, alternating spreads, cards, or stacked chapters; your gallery a hero grid, masonry wall, filmstrip, mosaic collage, or spotlight with thumbnails; your RSVP a panel card, split layout, minimal form, or a double-ruled keepsake frame
• Background rhythm — each section can sit on plain paper, a soft tint, a bordered panel, a full accent band, or even a full-bleed photo with a readability scrim
• Shaped edges — wave, curve, slant or zigzag dividers cut into any section band
• Any palette and typography — the assistant picks (or you request) colors and Google Font pairings that suit your event
• Ornament styles — twelve divider ornaments, from hairlines and flourishes to stars, leaves, hearts and sunbursts

The AI arranges all of this from a curated vocabulary, so every combination stays readable, mobile-friendly and on-brand — there's no way to "break" the design.

Designing with the AI Studio

1. Open your event → Invitation → the AI Studio tab.
2. Describe what you want: "Design a warm terracotta invitation for our vineyard wedding — editorial cover, timeline story, and use the floral photo I uploaded as the hero."
3. Watch the live preview update as the assistant works. Each change creates a new version — step back and forth freely.
4. Upload images to the asset library (logos, photos, graphics) and reference them by name in chat.
5. When you love a version, press Apply to invitation — nothing is visible to guests until you do.

You can keep refining after applying: every conversation continues from your latest design.

Unlocking Studio

Studio is a premium template. Applying it to your live invitation requires either a paid (credit-based) event or an active subscription — the same entitlement as the other premium templates. Free events can chat with the assistant a limited number of times to try the experience; upgrading unlocks the full message allowance and publishing.

Manual Customization Knobs

Most of Studio lives in the chat, but two quick fields are available in the template picker's Customize panel:

• Cover invitation line — the small line above your headline (e.g. "are getting married")
• Closing line — the short footer message (e.g. "We can't wait to see you")

Section titles you set in the regular editor (Story, Gifts, Countdown) are always respected — the assistant writes to the same fields, so both editing surfaces stay in sync.

Section-by-Section Treatments

Studio ships bespoke, spec-driven treatments for: welcome message, countdown, gallery, story, venue/map, save-the-date calendar, RSVP, gifts (registries, monetary with copy/QR, charity, wishlist reservations), itinerary and event details (dress code, accommodation, transportation, FAQs).

Photo upload, QR code, table assignment, sub-events, treatments and custom sections render through the standard kit and automatically inherit your Studio palette and typography.

Beta Status

Studio and the AI Design Studio are in beta. The design vocabulary keeps growing — image masks, cover motion, textures, watermarks, AI image generation, calligraphy fonts with monograms, section background photos, shaped section edges and a wave of new layouts have all arrived since launch — and existing designs keep rendering exactly as you approved them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do guests see my design changes immediately? A: No. The chat works on a draft with its own version history; guests only see a design after you press Apply.

Q: Can I go back to a previous design? A: Yes — use the version stepper above the preview to select any earlier version and apply it.

Q: Can the AI use my own photos and logos? A: Yes. Upload them to the asset library in the AI Studio tab and mention them in chat with @ — the assistant can set your cover image, the envelope artwork, and standalone full-width image sections. It can also generate brand-new artwork with AI, from scratch or inspired by one of your photos.

Q: What happens if I switch from Studio to another template? A: Your invitation content (story, gifts, itinerary, RSVP settings) is untouched — templates only change the presentation. Your Studio design stays in the chat history so you can re-apply it later.

Q: Is my data used to train AI models? A: No. Your conversation and designs are used only to render your invitation.
