Confetti Template — Complete Guide
Confetti turns your invitation into a sticker party. Your event name is set in chunky, bubbly letters with a pop of colour behind them, every section opens with a die-cut sticker, the countdown floats on balloons, your photos are stuck on like stickers with party tape, and confetti is scattered all around.
Confetti is one of Fotify's simpler, modern designs: its look comes from two colours you choose — any two at all — and a rounded, friendly typeface.
This guide covers how Confetti looks, the options unique to it, how to apply it to your event, and how it lays out each section of your invitation.
Confetti is available on every plan, Free included.
For an overview of the template gallery and the picker, see How to Customize Your RSVP Invitation.
What makes Confetti different
Standard templates change colours and fonts over the same shared layout. Confetti replaces the layout itself: its own cover and closing, its own section heads, and its own treatment of the message, countdown, gallery, story and schedule.
Signature design elements
- Two colours, any two — a main colour and a second colour, from the suggested swatches or from the colour picker. The stickers, balloons, tape and confetti take turns in the two
- Die-cut stickers — every section opens with its label on a rounded sticker with a white border and a soft shadow, stuck on slightly crooked
- Chunky rounded type — your event name in big, bubbly letters with an offset shadow in your second colour
- A balloon countdown — one balloon per unit, with the number printed on it and a curly string
- Photo stickers — your cover photo, gallery and story photos with a white sticker border, a slight tilt and strips of party tape
- Ticket stubs — every entry of your schedule is a ticket with a coloured stub for the time and a perforated tear line
- Confetti — dots, squiggles, triangles, stars and streamers in your colours around the cover, the closing and (with the full party) every section head. They are placed the same way every time the page opens, and always kept clear of your text
- Three backgrounds — warm cream, crisp white or a dark night page that makes the colours glow
- Always readable — whatever colours you pick, Confetti adjusts the shade only where text sits on them, so every label, button and title stays clearly legible
When to choose Confetti
Confetti suits celebrations that should feel fun from the first second:
- Kids' birthdays and first birthdays — the Rounded typeface with Watermelon and Sunshine, or Ocean and Lime. See birthdays
- Baby showers, gender reveals and sip-and-sees — soft picks like Bubblegum and Lilac, or Mint and Sky, on the Cream background
- Milestone birthdays and grown-up parties — the Grotesk typeface on the Night background, with a bright pair like Grape and Lime. See parties
- Graduations, office parties, end-of-season and team celebrations — your school or team colours, picked exactly with Pick any color
If you want a retro look, try Arcade for an 8-bit games cabinet or Mixtape for a hand-labelled cassette. For a calmer page in one colour, try Prism.
Applying Confetti to your event
- Open your event, click Invitation in the sidebar, then the Invitation tab
- In Design Template, click Change template if the gallery is collapsed, and find Confetti under Designs (it is listed under the Birthday, Party and Baby shower filters)
- Optional: press Try it on to see Confetti with your own invitation details in the live preview — nothing is saved until you press Use this design
- Or click the Confetti card to apply it straight away
- Open Confetti options below the gallery to pick your two colours and the other options described below. Changes save automatically
Confetti works on every plan. On free events a small "Made with Fotify" badge appears in the bottom corner of the invitation; any paid plan or an active subscription removes it.
Switching to another template later is non-destructive: your event content stays exactly as you entered it, and your Confetti options are kept in case you switch back.
Confetti options
Confetti has eight options of its own. They take the place of the standard colour and font controls, which Confetti doesn't use.
1. Main colour
Colours the buttons, the event name and half of the stickers. Pick it two ways:
- A suggested swatch — Watermelon (default), Grape, Ocean, Mint, Bubblegum or Tangerine
- Pick any color — the last chip opens your device's colour picker, so you can use a favourite colour or a theme colour exactly. The colour's code is shown beside the chips
2. Second colour
The colour that joins the main one: the other stickers, the balloons, the shadow behind the event name and half of the confetti. Pick it the same way:
- A suggested swatch — Sunshine (default), Sky, Lime, Lilac, Peach or Candy
- Pick any color — any colour from your device's colour picker
Any pair works. Stickers and balloons keep your colours as picked and get dark or white lettering, whichever reads better on them; their white border outlines them even when a colour is as pale as the page. The buttons and the coloured titles are deepened (or, on the night background, lightened) only as far as legibility needs, so a sunny yellow button becomes a warm mustard on a cream page.
3. Background
- Cream (default) — a warm paper with faint polka dots
- White — crisp white
- Night — a deep indigo page with light text, where both colours glow
4. Confetti
- Full party (default) — confetti around the cover, the closing and every section head (the section-head confetti appears on wider screens)
- A sprinkle — a lighter scatter around the cover and the closing only
- None — no confetti at all
5. Typeface
The face of the event name, the titles, the stickers and the buttons. Reading text is always set in Nunito, a friendly rounded sans.
- Rounded (default) — Fredoka, soft and bubbly: made for kids' parties and baby showers
- Grotesk — Bricolage Grotesque, bolder and punchier for grown-up parties
6. Floating confetti
On by default: the confetti pops in when the page opens and then drifts gently, the cover sticker lands with a little bounce, and the countdown balloons bob. Turn it off for a still page. Guests whose device is set to reduce motion always see the page still.
7. Cover sticker
The sticker above the event name (up to 60 characters). Leave it blank to use the default ("You're invited!"). Try "Mia turns 5!", "Baby on board" or "Party time".
8. Closing title
The big line at the end of the page (up to 80 characters). Leave it blank to use the default ("Let's party!"). Try "Cake, games and you!" or "See you at the party".
Every piece of text Confetti shows on the invitation — the cover sticker, the When, Time and Where labels, the Count me in buttons, the section stickers and titles, the balloon labels, the closing title — can also be rewritten directly on the page: switch the live preview into edit mode and double-click the text. Section titles you have already set in their own settings (story, countdown, gifts, where to stay, getting there, FAQs) are edited in place the same way.
How each section is treated
Cover
A burst of confetti replaces the standard header, around a centred stack:
- Cover sticker (option 7), tilted, in your second colour
- Your event name, very large in your main colour with an offset shadow in your second colour. Long names step down a size so they never break mid-word
- When, Time and Where as little gift tags — the time follows the Show time setting of your invitation's cover, the date and place follow Show date and Show location, and every guest sees the date you picked, whatever their time zone
- Count me in — a button that scrolls to the RSVP form. It only appears when your RSVP section is visible, and never on a save-the-date page
- Your cover photo as a big photo sticker, slightly tilted and held by two strips of party tape, keeping the horizontal crop you set. Without a cover photo the cover simply ends with the button
Section heads
Each section opens with its label on a die-cut sticker — alternating between your two colours and tilted a little differently each time — above the title in the display typeface and, for the story and gifts, your subtitle or gift message.
Message
Your invitation message on a white card held at the corners by two strips of party tape, set large and centred. A long letter steps down to a comfortable reading size.
Countdown
One balloon per unit — days, hours, minutes and (if you switch them on) seconds — alternating between your two colours, each with the number on it, a curly string and the unit's name underneath. When the countdown ends, your completion message appears instead.
Gallery (Carousel)
Your photos as square photo stickers with a white border, each tilted a little, with party tape on every other one — two per row on a phone, three on wider screens (two for two or four photos). A short last row is centred.
Story
Each milestone is an instant-photo sticker: a round number sticker on its corner, the photo, a date tag, the title and the description. Every milestone is laid out the same way; one without a photo is simply a shorter sticker. One per row on a phone, two or three per row on wider screens (four in a row for four milestones). Your story subtitle appears under the section title.
Itinerary
Each day opens with a sticker carrying the date. Each entry is a ticket: a stub in one of your colours with the time, a perforated tear line with notches, then the event, the place with a pin and any note.
Location, Gifts, Event Details, Save the Date and RSVP
These five sections share their structure with Fotify's other picker-coloured designs (Meridian, Thread, Prism and Duotone), dressed in Confetti's colours: white rounded cards (deep indigo on the night background) and pill-shaped buttons in your main colour.
- Location — a map card beside an address card with your address, your directions and an Open in Maps button. When a map can't be shown, the map card draws a pin with the venue's coordinates; without coordinates the address card spans the row
- Gifts — every registry, payment option, charity and wishlist item is its own card in a grid, grouped under small labels (with a count) when you offer more than one kind. Payment details sit in an inset box with a Copy button, and long account numbers or wallet addresses wrap inside the card. Pay links, scan-to-pay QR codes and wishlist reservations appear as buttons on each card
- Event Details — a card per topic: dress code with your suggested and avoided colours as swatches (in their real colours), where to stay with each hotel as a mini-card (distance, price range, promo code, notes and a Book button), getting there with an icon for each kind of transport, and a full-width FAQ card where each question opens on tap
- Save the Date (Calendar) — one card with the title and the event date on one side, and Google, Apple (downloads the calendar file) and Outlook buttons on the other
- RSVP — the title with your RSVP deadline under it, and the reply form on a card topped with a striped party streamer in your two colours. On a save-the-date page, the card holds the save-the-date note instead of the form
Closing
A second burst of confetti around your closing title (option 8) in big letters, the date and place, and a final Count me in button.
Sections that use the shared layout
These sections keep Fotify's shared layout and are dressed in Confetti's style:
- Photo upload, QR code, Table assignment, Playlist, Sub-events, Special treatments and custom sections
Each sits in the same column as the rest of the page on a Confetti card, with titles in your chosen typeface and pill-shaped buttons in your main colour. Photos in custom sections are capped in height so a tall portrait never takes over the page. Photos your guests upload are shown as they are.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I use my child's favourite colours, or the party's theme colours? A: Yes. Pick each one with Pick any color in Main colour and Second colour. If a colour is too pale or too dark for the text that sits on it, Confetti shifts its shade just enough to fix that, keeping the hue.
Q: My button looks darker than the colour I picked. Why? A: A button has no sticker border around it, so it has to stand out from the page on its own. When your main colour is close to the background (a pale yellow on cream, for example), Confetti deepens the button just enough to read, and keeps your exact colour on the stickers.
Q: Will the confetti cover my text? A: No. The confetti is kept out of the middle of the page where the titles sit, and it is always drawn behind the text. On phones there is less of it, and none beside the section heads. Choose A sprinkle or None in the Confetti option for less.
Q: Can I stop the confetti from moving? A: Yes. Turn off Floating confetti. Guests whose device is set to reduce motion always see the page still.
Q: Does Confetti work for a baby shower or an adult party? A: Yes. It appears under the Birthday, Party and Baby shower filters. For a baby shower try soft colours on Cream; for a grown-up party try Grotesk on Night.
Q: Does Confetti work in right-to-left languages? A: Yes. In Hebrew and Arabic the layout mirrors: the stickers, photos and tickets tilt and sit the other way, and the confetti is scattered in mirror image. The cover photo's crop stays as you set it.
Q: Can I use custom RSVP fields with Confetti? A: Yes. Custom fields (dropdowns, dates, checkboxes, file uploads and so on) pick up Confetti's fields and labels automatically.
